I received a Coravin Model Two wine system for Christmas. If somebody had told me years ago I would get use out of a product like that I would have laughed in their face. Me, need a wine preserving system? Ha ha ha!
Before my first kid I was the girl chugging 40’s and taking shots all night. After my second one, I was still the hard liquor drinking girl who could out drink men twice my size. After my third, well by then I’d switched to wine, slowed way down, and rarely drank to excess. I was full on adulting. Now with four kids, I have neither the time, energy, or drive to drink more than one glass at a time.
If you have not heard of this fancy ass system, let me tell you, neither had I until I unwrapped it at Christmas. The whole idea of it is to allow you to pour a glass of wine without opening the bottle. WTF! Yes, the seal stays on, the cork remains in place, and you can continue to store the bottle for years.
Genius! Pure genius! It’s not cheap but considering I’ve had to throw out a half full bottle of $40+ wine on multiple occasions, it will definitely earn it’s worth.
I have a feeling this little contraption will be my new best friend, especially as I face my nest emptying down to one kid this summer. I may just have to restart my wine club memberships.
Hmmmm..
